Proximity Sensor
– Submarine (SS-2) switch that sends an electrical signal to the naked eye to check whether the torpedo launcher is open or closed. When the detection object (torpedo tube cover) is close to the high frequency magnetic field generated by the detection coil with the high frequency oscillation type proximity sensor, an induced current flows to the surface of the adjacent object due to the electromagnetic induction phenomenon, causing energy loss due to the current. The coil detects whether the torpedo tube is opened or closed by using the deformation amount of the oscillation amplitude.
